UPDATE: Due to the recent floods in British Columbia, the public comment period has been extended by 15 days and will now end on January 7, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. PST.

GCT Canada’s Deltaport Berth Four (DP4) Expansion Project to add container terminal capacity at Roberts bank is subject to a federal impact assessment under the Impact Assessment Act and a provincial environmental assessment under British Columbia's Environmental Assessment Act

The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) and British Columbia's Environmental Assessment Office (BCEAO) are working cooperatively to provide a single review process for the project that meets the requirements of both jurisdictions. IAAC and BCEAO are inviting public comments on the draft Joint Guidelines and the draft Joint Assessment Plan until January 7, 2022, by 11:59 p.m. PST.

Interested parties are encouraged to participate in the public engagement process. Virtual information sessions are being held on December 2, 2021, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PST and December 14, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. PST. The sessions will include presentations on the federal and provincial review processes, a presentation by GCT Canada and opportunities to ask questions.
